Responsible for all facets of day-to-day sales of Company products in assigned branch or region. Responsible for implementing sales strategies and achieving personal and group sales objectives. Strives for customer satisfaction.

In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow assigned sales territory or group of accounts through the sales of Armstrong product offerings.
  • Achieve planned sales bookings and shipments targets.
  • Coordinates all sales related activities in the assigned territory and provides feedback to other departments as required.
  • Working closely with the consulting engineering firms across Greater Toronto Area market for getting Armstrong product specified as basis of design (BOD) on bid and spec projects, communicating the Armstrong value proposition to engineers, contractors and building owners.
  • Support pre-sales activities to convert customers’ requirements into detailed solutions, quotations and orders.
  • Manage and maintain project opportunities and ensure our customers get what they want and what they need in the promised time.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all sales channels i.e. Wholesalers, mechanical contractors, consulting engineers and building owners.
  • Manage entire project sales cycle from bidding stage to execution and start up.
  • Supports special tasks/projects assigned by the management.
  • Meet & liaise with other departments (such as Customer Service, After Sales Service, Manufacturing and Engineering) on a regular basis to proactively prevent issues and provide solutions to our customers to keep them out of trouble.
  • Utilize sales tools effectively (CRM, Adept software’s, POMA, KAM etc.) to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunity within accounts.
  • Analyzes and reports customer feedback for continuous market share improvement.

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering program.
  • 4-5 years of Engineering/Technical Sales experience in HVAC industry within Canada, Pumping/Hydronics industry experience is a plus.
  • Sound knowledge of HVAC products and Systems.
  • Hands on experience on HVAC products selection software.
  • PC literate, and high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence customer’s key decision makers.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
  • Excellent writing, communication & presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
